Hi Dawn,
Just curious about your camera and the lens that you used for this shot. I am in the market for a macro, but can't decide which one to get. Thanks!

thanks Nick!
Hi DBM, thanks for coming by again! I dont have a macro lens :( I am also checking out the possibility of getting one as I have been taking lots of bug photos lately. this lens is the standard one that comes with the Nikon D70. 18-70mm. If you do buy one will you let me know which one you got?

Hi Dawn,
I have the Nikon D80 with a 18-135mm lens. I love the camera, but I find that I can't get quite as close as I would like to with the lenses that I have got. I am trying to decide between a 60mm and 105mm macro lens. I have also read about stacking lenses to get even closer. I shall let you know what I end up going with.

What a great little butterfly. I am so glad to see that you got this photograph. Roger and I were out today in the marsh and saw a few of these, but they never stayed still long enough for a photograph. You got a great shot.

Pretty! And very sharp, too! I haven't had a lot of success with butterflies - but that's a great shot!

thanks Jay! I think the telephoto lens is better for the butterflies, but so hard to focus then!
