Environmental Blogging Day,
In 1965 there were no more Humpback whales in the PNW waters. Whaling had taken them all. Now 42 years later, we are fortunate to see them again in our waters. We can only hope that we will see them till the day we die.
This year at Damen Pt, Ocean Shores this small humpback was feeding right next to the shore. We were overwelmed. And it was the first time I had ever seen a Humpback.

Great shot of that humpback. Sometimes we do things right, but only after we've done them so wrong that we send other species on the brink of extinction. I guess that gives me some hope, but I'm not sure.
