Dawn, thanks so much for your comment on my paintintg and for adding me to your blogroll. I'm going to link you also.
I recently posted some bird photos on my alternate big Not Really A Cleaning Lady. My camera is older and doesn't have a good zoom on it but I tried taking photos of the birds in flight and it was almost impossible to catch them. Your eagle is fabulous and this lovely raven also. Thank You!

What a fine raven photo!

I never gave ravens much thought at all until my sister told me that she had visited Death Valley in California and was astounded to find that it was so quiet there that a person could hear the sound of a raven's wings as it flew.

Sometime later we visited Death Valley together. I heard the sound of a raven's wings in flight. When I saw your raven photo I remembered that sound and that they say "tok" sometimes.

thank you ladies! Aunt Am! they say more then tok! they are almost non-stop talking. and their wings do make the coolest noise when they are flying by. I have learned some of their talking so now I can look up and see eagles, hawks and more. Fantastic birds!
